Our strengths

The high quality of services provided by EuroRating and substantial reliability of credit ratings issued by EuroRating result from our main strengths:

• International standards of professionalism

Issuing and publishing credit ratings used by many entities, EuroRating is a public trust institution. Hence, we place significant emphasis on observing rules of professional behaviour and on ensuring total objectivism and high reliability of our ratings.

The rating process is strictly regulated through internal procedures and a credit risk analysis is based on methodologies applied by rating agencies and an in-depth analysis of all data available in regard to analysed entities. Decisions on ratings assigned by EuroRating are not made by individual analysts, but rather by rating committees composed of several persons.

Rigorous internal procedures applicable in EuroRating include, amongst others, the Code of Conduct developed in line with guidelines included in the model code (Code of Conduct Fundamentals For Credit Rating Agencies), prepared for rating agencies by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).

• Subject to the supervision of the EU authorities

EuroRating Sp. z o.o. is formally registered as a credit rating agency in the European Union (pursuant to the Regulation of the European Parliament no. 1060/2009 on credit rating agencies) and is subject to a direct supervision of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). Therefore, EuroRating has the ECAI status (External Credit Assessment Institution – in line with Article 4.1.98 of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council no. 575/2013 of 26 June 2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms) and credit ratings issued by EuroRating may be used for regulatory purposes by financial institutions throughout the European Union and are entirely equal to credit ratings issued by other credit rating agencies recognized by ESMA, without territorial on any other limitations.

• Independence

EuroRating is a fully independent private company. We are not related with any other financial institutions, government authorities or business organizations. We don’t have shares in any entities, to which we provide rating services. We do not provide any other services against charge to entities, for which we assign credit ratings. Our ownership structure, the lack of formal or informal political and business relations, as well as observing highest ethical standards guarantee maintaining full independence and a lack of conflicts of interest in regard to our credit rating activities.

• Knowledge and experience

Our experts are high-class specialists with extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of finance, accounting, capital markets and investment banking. Due to the specificity of our business, experience and knowledge must be constantly expanded and updated, hence we pay significant attention to continuous raising of qualifications.
