Rating outlook change from negative to stable for 9 Polish banks - announcement

EuroRating has changed from negative to stable the credit rating outlooks for nine rated Polish banks: Bank BPH, Bank Millennium, BOS, BZ WBK, Deutsche Bank Polska, Getin Noble Bank, mBank, PKO BP i Santander Consumer Bank.

The improvement of the rating outlooks for all the above banks it associated with the presentation by the Office of the President of the final draft of the act on foreign currency mortgage loans. In EuroRating’s opinion, the bill significantly reduces the risk of bearing of large losses by the banks, which has threatened them under the previous drafts of the act, which assumed a forced currency conversion, incriminating the banks majority of the costs associated with this.
